The thrifty abode is not just my little place on the internet to write my musings on homemaking, but it's also a goal for my home. My husband and I try to be good stewards of what God has given us. We aren't thrifty because we cling to money in order to just own a larger quantity of stuff. We are thrifty because we cling to God who shows us that He is better than any stuff we could buy. So as I'm buying stuff for my home, everything from groceries to a new chair, I pray that my thrifty abode would be pleasing to God and that I would find my joy in Him rather than the stuff he provides.
